Q1: How should I store the glue and hardener?
A:
- Base resin: store in a cool, dry place at 5–35°C; protect from freezing
- Hardener: moisture-sensitive — keep container tightly sealed; store away from water or high humidity
Once opened, both components should be used within 3–6 months depending on storage conditions.
Q2: Can I use this glue for oily woods like teak or rosewood?
A: For highly oily or dense tropical hardwoods, standard formulas may have reduced adhesion. Use a specialized primer or a two-component adhesive designed for oily wood. Always perform a preliminary bond test.
Q3: What is the minimum curing temperature?
A: The minimum application/curing temperature is typically 10°C (50°F) for the glue and the work environment. Curing below 5°C will be extremely slow and may result in incomplete crosslinking. Warm the glue and wood to room temperature in cold weather.
