102h Vinyl Acetate-ethylene Copolymer Emulsion VAE Polymers VAE Emulsion

102h Vinyl Acetate-ethylene Copolymer Emulsion VAE Polymers VAE Emulsion

short description:

Using water as a medium and containing no plasticizers, it is non-toxic, odorless, and low in VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) . Its unique molecular structure provides high flexibility and excellent adhesion after film formation, particularly excelling on surfaces that are typically difficult to bond, such as plastic films (e.g., PVC). The dried film is transparent, flexible, and exhibits low surface tack.

Q: Is VAE adhesive waterproof?

A: VAE-based adhesives offer good water and moisture resistance, but the level depends on the specific formulation. For high-moisture environments such as bathrooms, kitchens, or swimming pools, VAE-based tile adhesives can provide durable bonds when properly formulated . For fully waterproof requirements, additional formulation adjustments or higher VAE dosages (12–15%) may be needed.

Q: Can VAE be used for bonding non-porous materials?

A: Yes. Thanks to the ethylene segments in its copolymer structure, VAE emulsion provides excellent wetting and adhesion to non-porous substrates such as PVC, metal, glass, and various plastic films without requiring primers -1. This makes it suitable for laminating applications in packaging and industrial bonding.
