Moisture-curing reactive polyurethane hot melt adhesive PUR adhesive for composite of TPU or polyester film and fabric
Textile composite adhesive classification:
Fabric-to-film bonding: This type of adhesive bonds TPU or polyester film to fabric. It can be applied individually (fabric ↔ TPU or polyester film) or in a three-in-one configuration (fabric ↔ TPU or polyester film ↔ fabric).
Fabric-to-fabric bonding: This refers to bonding fabric to fabric, primarily used in home textiles and apparel. The required adhesive properties differ slightly between the two. Home textiles require high initial strength and good washability, while apparel prioritizes a smooth feel.
Application methods: Hot melt adhesives for film bonding are mostly applied using a roller with dots. The size and depth of the dots on the roller can be adjusted to achieve the desired strength and feel.
Hot melt adhesives for fabric-to-fabric bonding have two application methods. Apparel manufacturers primarily use dot application for a smooth feel, while home textile manufacturers typically use a diamond-shaped roller for greater strength.
